Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is an avid film critic who reviews Z-graded films, mostly in the horror or martial arts genres. Her style of review and methodology is similar to The Cinema Snob. However she is more inclined to watch silly action films that have a twisted fascination. Her first review was in 2009 and after gaining some notoriety on the forums (under her old handle Obscurus Lupa) she became a member of the Channel Awesome family. She remained on the site until early 2015 in the year that Obscurus Lupa Presents was transformed into Movie Nights. She co-hosts two podcasts that are about the Charmed franchise. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. The role of a guest on Midnight Screenings is a regular event. It reviews horrendous movies geared towards children, RiffTrax and live shows. It also occasionally features adult-oriented comedy. When she began reviewing films in 2009 the actress gained popularity through the Channel Awesome forums. Prior to joining the official team that comprises Channel Awesome reviewers, she was a household name. She's appeared on numerous Channel Awesome shows from Atop the Fourth Wall to Phelous & the Movies. Doug Walker and Doug Walker were once members of Channel Awesome. They would frequently appear in episodes of Nostalgia Critic.
